The forecast for 2023 and 2024 for the Swedish economy is not very positive. According to the European Commission, Sweden is the only country in Europe expected to have negative growth in 2023. Sweden also has the fourth-highest unemployment rate in Europe, and it continues to rise. The forecast for 2024 is currently for growth, while a period of labour shortages is expected.
